Who can compete, and where they belong.
GPSO Season 1 (2026) runs across four age divisions and three language tracks. Every student finds a stage matched to their development.
General eligibility
Any student currently enrolled in a registered school, college, or university in Bangladesh may participate. Each institution sets its own internal selection criteria for the Institution Round; district and national rounds are open only to qualifiers from the level below.
The four age divisions
Divisions are based on the student's grade or year of study at the time of registration, with age provided as a guideline.
| Division | Age (typical) | Grade / Year | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Junior | 11–13 | Class 6 – 8 | Early secondary students stepping onto a competitive stage for the first time. |
| Secondary | 14–15 | Class 9 – 10 (SSC candidates) | Late secondary students refining technique under SSC-year pressure. |
| Higher Secondary | 16–18 | Class 11 – 12 (HSC candidates) | College-level orators preparing for university entrance and national stages. |
| Tertiary | 18–24 | University undergraduates | Undergraduate students competing at the highest division of the Olympiad. |
Three language tracks
Every division runs in parallel across all three tracks. A student picks one track per format and competes against peers in the same language.

Four formats per division × language combination. Total: up to 4 divisions × 3 tracks × 4 formats = 48 distinct competitions per season.
